For the past ten years, public schools have had trouble funding school programs such as art class and music class. Good ear training allows musicians to do much more than just play instruments. Students dispossessed of these sensory stimulation that are provided specially by music have been equated by enlightening experts to youths who at some point of time in their lives experienced brain inactivity or damage.
Music and art classes teach kids about creativity. Studies show that music classes enhance self-esteem in their students. However, what was at stake here was the musical appreciation that many children may have missed out on during the window of opportunity they had.
And conducting is one of the most insidious aspects of learning music, especially for youngsters in schools. It has been proven that both lobes of the brain are used while playing music which helps in the overall brain development.
